Website plugs new font made from gerrymandered districts

A new font developed by an anonymous creator allows users to replace the traditional alphabet with images of various congressional districts that resemble the letters of English alphabet.

Ugly Gerry’s “GERRY” font, released last week on its website, is described as a “font created by your congressional districts.”

“It’s here. GERRY. A font created by your congressional districts. Log on to and use the font to tell congress how happy you are that your vote doesn’t matter,” the website’s Twitter account posted.

The website encourages users to tweet at their congressional representatives and urge them to support anti-gerrymandering legislation.

No information other than an email comment line was available on the group’s website or Twitter account, and a request for more information from The Hill was not immediately returned.
